HER STORY

Tanushree holds a special place in the Breeze of Joy story: she is the Foundation's very first graduate. Her father works as a daily laborer, and her mother was unable to work after undergoing an operation on her throat, so when Tanushree reached her final year of school, the gap in support could have ended her education right at the finish line. With help covering what her family couldn't afford on their own, she sat for her Class 12 final exams, a consistently Very Good student throughout, and made it across. The board recently celebrated her graduation with a gift, a small way of marking a milestone years in the making. Tanushree has always dreamed of becoming a scientist, and having come this far against real financial odds, it's not hard to believe she'll get there.
